Amex everyday

Prior to stepping into the garden for the rest of 2016, I applied for the everyday card and was declined for my exp score being too low - it was 631 at the time of my application. The report has no baddies on it and a uti of 50%. I decided that since I already took the hard pull I would try to recon it today. The conversation was about 30seconds long with the Amex rep; he verified my indentifying information and then said he would happily forward my application to the underwriters. That is it! No questions for me on why I would like the card or to explain any info on my reports. Has anyone had a call similar to this one, do you think it provides any indication of denial or approval?

Re: Amex everyday

I got the instant approval. I was reading about people getting phone calls from underwritting. So they are out there. Good luck!

Re: Amex everyday

Thanks! I know that my scores weren't exactly what most people have when they are approved, but I have seen people approved with 630s before and once I seen that the only reason listed was my score being too low; what have I got to lose!? Haha

Very good! I do know that they will look at your Util and lates/baddies as well. Any to count for? Also age of accounts as well!

Re: Amex everyday

I don't have any lates or baddies on that report, luckily. My aoaa is 2yrs and 2months. I think the only things hurting my score currently; is too many inquiries and 50% uti. I have paid the uti down since then but I really don't want another hard inq

If you recon I don't think AMX will do another HP. However double check to be sure!
