Amex...let me in!!!!

So I've applied for two AMEX cards in the last five months and they just aren't budging....Amex green and Amex Everyday

707 EX
27 inq (mostly car shopping)
15% util
Only derogs are 30-60-90 day lates from 2 yrs ago.
No open or paid collections reporting anymore.
AAoA ~2 yrs

I can't even find a decent recon number...

What is the reason for denials?  That is the 1st clue...

You should have gotten letters.  The key to a successful recon is to have rebuttals for the reason the application was denied.  Without that, you'd be pulling at straws.  Not even in an email?

Amex does not really recon but you can call and speak with new accounts and see why you were denied and if it can over over-turned. Here is the number for you...

Never had a real Amex, only cobranded
