OK, first of all, I KNOW better than to listen to Credit Karma....
Still, they've never suggested an Amex to me before, and frankly, I don't think I'd qualify for it. (Credit Karma DID recommend it today.)
I did some research and think I'd be borderline for the Everyday card which does have a 15 month BT offer on it, and Amex generally pulls Experian for me.
I've only got two or three inquirys on Experian in the last year, my score is mid 650's right now, but should gain 10 or 20 points in the next day or do...my fear is utilization. Still reporting a bit over 50%.
Amex pre qual doesn't show anything.
Whaddya think? Is Amex still beyond my reach?

I'd wait until you get that utilization well below 50%. What else is holding your scores down?
No baddies, no lates, the only thing holding me down is high util and several maxed out cards...that aren't maxed out anymore, but Capital One hasn't told anybody that yet.
Pizza, I MAY hit 670 in the next day or two, but util will still be over 50% for a while.

Don't apply until that utilization is way down regardless of your increased score.

i saw your other post and this card wasn't listed in your "app spree" post. stop being confusing lol. why the need for so many BT cards? start with one and power pay. you'll be pissed when you obtain all these cards for BT and in two years you have 5 cards that are 100% pointless. get what you want and use it.
In two years I'll want different cards??? ![]()
App #3 is "some experian pulling BT card"...and I just HATE BofA.

Yeah, that's kinda what I thought. Methinks Amex doesn't like high util.
