I've had several succeses with my credit over the last 2 weeks, but Marriott was the first app I made on June25th since last Oct and was denied b/c of the 5/24 rule. Since I took the hit on both EX and EQ, I was wondering if I should go to battle with lending to try and get the card (and I FLAT OUT REFUSE TO LET THEM HP me again)-or should I just write it off? Don't really need it at this point. Any useful opinions welcome!

Why not try and just make sure to refuse another HP? Couldn't hurt..

From many reports here and elsewhere your chances of getting the denial overturned are very very small. However a Scupra rightly says you dont have anything to lose by trying.
There's nothing to lose by trying but honestly it is probably not going to get you anywhere. By all accounts, once you are denied for 5/24, that's pretty much the end of it
If you can go into a branch, that will be much better than calling yourself and trying to recon. Let a banker try to call lending on your behalf.
