So I saw an ad on Facebook for their Platinum Elite VS card and checked it out. Then did a google search (skyone myfico) to see comments in the forums, but only found 4 years old data.
But the first link in Google is a "Pre approval" link (https://www.skyone.org/visa-pre-approval-acceptance/) And even if it says won't hurt your credit, I'm not willing to take the risk.
Do you have a card with them? Are you a member? Some data points?

Thanks!
Looks like you need to be the Guinea pig here. Never heard of them and ive been on forum 4 + years. It always takes one person to kick start dps so good luck
I joined Sky One and recently got approved for $3500 CL with Platinum rewards Visa. very strange in that they do a hard pull to just join the credit union. You have to make a deposit in the savings account ( I put $5 in). But I never heard anything about my credit card application. I had to follow up over 3 weeks before they finally approved me. They seem very disorganized.
So just a little update so far. I had my chexsystem locked, and I forgot my pin so I've requested a new one (waiting now).
i applied for just membership (saving with $5), had to answer a few security questions and had my app pending (maybe due to freeze). Got a secure message the next day telling me to unlock it. He confirmed soft pull on chexsystem only. So wait and see.

It will be interesting to see. What organization did you list for membership?
So 2 weeks ago I asked for some datapoints on SkyOne FCU, unfortunately looks like nobody is using it yet! So I've tried and I will update that post with future updates.
SkyOne FCU is a small CU for Pilots in California, I was able to join by doing a membership with the Surfrider Foundation. (no streamlined process for that in the application, I did it on my own).
I opened a regular membership share with $5 (still pending after 7 days and paid by credit card!) I just connected my external accounts today. Membership wasn't approved right away because I had chexsystems locked. I got a message the next day asking me to unlock it and they will continue the application. After ordering my pin with chexsystem, I was able to unfreeze it. The next day my membership was approved. Strange thing, I didn't get my membership number by email, just got an email telling me I will get my debit card in the mail and I should get another DocuSign email to complete some forms, didn't get that email.
I called CS, a small wait of 15 minutes, she was very chatty, super friendly and was able to provide my membership numbers, and was "excited to have me part of SkyOne FCU".
After setting up my online account, I've checked for preapproved links or whatever and didn't see anything. I contacted support to know what credit bureau they pull for CC app, they just told me that they will pull my credit (yes but which one!).
So this morning, I applied for the Platinum Elite Visa Signature (https://www.skyone.org/spend/credit-cards/platinum-elite/) $65 AF waived for the first year, took it mostly for the benefits (I have no real premium cards).
They have 3 credit card products (https://www.skyone.org/spend/credit-cards/compare-credit-cards/), and looks like they are all in the same category.
Filled the application, and got an EX pull right away. The application is pending now, had to send my last paystub so wait and see.
I'm just curious why they are not popular at all, so far they were pretty easy with the membership process.
My EX fico 8 is 680 and I make 72k/y LOL/24.
@Anonymous Whatever happened to your application? I'm curious since I'm eyeballing their cards that lets you choose the category which earns 3%. Do you know what FICO version they use?
