Any idea on PC of Barclay’s Arrival+??

I have this- Arrival+ card from Barclay's for the last 8 years and it has AF of $89...I have NEVER used any feature/benefit of this card and have been paying AF on this all these years, but I do not want to pay AF anymore...and looking to downgrade/PC my this card to non-AF card. There is not much discussion about this topic on Barclay's cards...and if there are some then they are many years ago ones....

I did contact Barclay's customer service for this, but agent made many contradictory statements...and when I brought to her attention about the contraction then she right away provided me the telephone number of their credit department to reach out to them for any inquiry related to this matter. I would definitely contact them eventually, but I want to prepare myself with all the possibilities before contacting their credit dept because I don't want them to close my account or lower the CL as I have a very high CL and I have not using the account for many years...So, I dont want to lose the account/CL...Do you guys have any info if PC is possible on this card? And if so, then which card is the best to ask to PC to?  Any stretegy?? Thanks

Call the credit team and tell them you want to PC from your Arrival+ to the no-AF Arrival card, if they push back you can see if they'll PC you to a View; those cards aren't open for new applications either but I know that at least the View is still being serviced for existing cardholders.  I would not expect that you would be able to PC to a co-branded card even though they're currently only accepting applications for the co-branded cards in their portfolio.

Thanks for your response. 3 days ago I called and spoke with the representative about PC of my this card. She provided me a telephone number for their credit department and said that Barclay's does do PC of this card and also stated that she has seen many people having done so. Then I called and talked to 3 more agents separately on different occasions, and they all said no...its not possible...Every time I have called, calls went to Philippines in their call center...but last time I requested to speak with US based customer service...and then my call was transfered....Agent was nice but he said that there is no PC available for this card...he even asked his manager/supervisor and said that his manager told the same.

However, I didnt speak with their credit dept yet...and wondering if it would make any difference....

Today I contacted their credit dept and they also stated that there is no product-change available on this card. However, they told me that if I could have another Barclay's account then I would be able to transfer/relocate all CL to that one which I was not aware of it...but I dont have another Barclay's card as of now anyway...and might need to wait for another 2 years to get it because of their 6-7/24 rule which they strictly follow.....Oh well...I guess I would need to pay $89 at least for two more years.....
