Around the time I got mine, which I want to say was 2-3 years ago, I heard that Cap One stopped doing manual reviews for CLIs. I'm not sure if that is still the case, so I wanted to post and ask. The last time I tried the 2 methods available were online and the automated phone system. Since both were not working for me, I was able to get them to do a manual review and get the CLI that way after having a human look at my account. Anyway, just curious if there were any reports at all of a CLI from Cap One at any point in the last 2 years that came from a manual review.

Yup.
Manual reviews are no longer considered. The last manual AR was about 3 years ago on mine. I was able to get it to $145K (from $133K), IIRC. Right before they started tightening up with auto-CLIs (as in current times), it received the last auto-CLI to $160K where it's been for sometime.
Was there a time that you could opt for a manual review instead of the automated type?
The way I was able to get a manual review CLI was due to the automated systems yielding error messages. I grew frustrated, contacted the EO and they had someone call me to do a manual review for the CLI request... which was then granted.
I haven't received one in at least three years. I even called in to ask about it but no one would give me a definitive answer.
Having the ability to manually review has been gone for about 3 years, along with true access to EO. The EO is even pretty much chained to what computer spits out.
I now find other lenders more flexible. Able to actually override some decisions.
If you send a letter to the EO regarding an account-related issue are they still good at calling back at least to address it?

I have seen people send letters to their EO and get phone calls back but I am not sure if they would discuss CLI or not.

They will still call if you email CEO, but the result will usually be, Sorry, but we can't help with that. The executive really needs to be removed from EO, because there isn't anything executive anymore.

Why don't you give it a shot? This way you can update your thread to determine whether that's still viable...or not 🤷♂️
