I got the Elan Max Cash card back in January and am trying to figure out when to request an increase. Does anyone know if there is a certain threshhold when you become elgible for a request? I don't want to jump the gun so I'm considering just waiting til 90 days, which seems to be a safe point at which to request one, but was curious if anyone knew anything about getting CLIs from Elan and if there is a specific strategy.
I've been putting around $1500 on the card each month and paying it off before the statement posts, and I have also gotten a slight pay increase since I applied.
My recent experience is that Elan considers CLI requests every 6 months.
Thanks @Credit-hoarder, I will probably just wait until the 6 month mark then, unless I hear of others having success sooner.
Per what people have mentioned in the MCP mega thread, they are almost always a HP. I have no personal experience, that is just what I have read others report about them.
The crystal ball states 6 months, and unlike US Bank, expect an HP.
I have an Elan-issued Mini card (bought from BMW bank). It's about 2.5 years old and never increased (auto or requested). I pulled the trigger online for a CLI- instant $5k increase to $20.5k without HP.
I did call 1st and the CS rep said it could be soft or hard pull, and it didn't matter if she tried or if I did it online.
