App Verification Docs - Approval or Process?

When a lender asks for a driver license and social security card docs after an application is submitted, does this usually yield an approval would they waste their time doing this if it wasnt an approval? is it possible system approval pending verification or unlikely?

it's almost a regular occurrence now that they ask for security verification. Driver's license or utility bill. Some even asks for POI (Proof of Income).

However, i think it's a good thing. Otherwise, they will give an instant denial if they don't want to verify you further.

Depends on the bank. I have had Simmons Bank ask for identification verification and denied based on the fact I had a security alert on my credit file.
