App-o-rama advice after auto loan approval?

hey guys,

Today i closed the deal for my new car loan and signed all the paperworks. Picking the car tomorrow from dealer.

You got any App-O-Rama advice?

I already have close to 22 credit cards with over all CL of 98k.

Also during the auto loan app, i have asked one of my credit union to increase my existing rewards card CL. They did added $5000 to my existing CC.

I was planning to look for 2nd sallimae , my bad, just googled and got to know they shut down the new apps for Sallimae.

Any good cards for Gas rewards?

My Fico ranges are in 690-720 across.

I do plan to do Auto loan Refi in next 3 months or better. Will there be any problem if i apply say 2-3 new credit cards? major drop in credit scores?

My advice is the Garden-O-Rama.

Congrats on the new car.

What is the gardening you speak of ? Smiley Surprised

Sounds like OP signed loan documents at CU and picked up a check.

Gas rewards i'd have to say go to penfed for their cash rewards card if you want to app for something. 5% cash back on gas all the time.

you can't sign loan docs without a VIN to a vehicle. most that could happen is getting a check issued but there are no loan signatures for that.

and with 22 cards OP needs to determine why none are good for gas and maybe consider closing some

If you're financing yourself you have to sign loan documents before picking up the check...

In order for me to grab the check from my local CU I had to provide them with a buyers order (which included the vin), provide proof of insurance and then sign their loan documents before they would issue a check... I'm not sure why this is not possible, but it is and it sounds exactly like what I had to do, except instead of picking up the next day I picked up the check in the morning and the car later that evening.

the original post says "picking car from dealer tomorrow"
to me that means to pick one out. not to finalize. but jeff, your process is correct obviously.

Do you mind sharing what kind of cards you currently have?

Re: App-o-rama advice after auto loan approval?

Alright no confusion. I signed PO/finance docs yesterday, dealer spoke to Geico for RMV1 document. So it took yesterday evening for dealer to get back from Geico. Today morning i picked up the car.

I have discover, sallimae, bofa 123 rewards.

Cards i wanted sometime before going to garden and failed to get

1)US bank rewards card

2)Citi double cash

3)Chase Slate
