I applied for my SDFCU membership and secured card at the same time - in the summer of 2015. They pulled EQ and EX. All my scores were in the lowest 500's. No income or employment verification. At that time, I was in the midst of a foreclosure, since dismissed. I just submitted an app for an unsecured card. Crossing fingers.
@Gonzozap I moved your post to a thread of it's own as the one you posted in is almost a year old. This way your post will get more attention. I also edited the title to reflect your post. You're free to change it to whatever you want.. Good luck wiht your application
Any luck with the Card?

* in an effort to contribute current information:
Yesterday morning (05/15/2017) I had the opportunity to speak with an Under Writer at State Department FCU. Because we had previously spoken, I was able to ask her some questions about my situation, and she was kind enough to answer with SD FCU specific information.
My current Fico 8 EX is 681, and I know that they prefer 720+ for the best APR rates.
I currently have a Secured SDFCU credit card and I inquired about my chances of being successfully approved for an un-secured SD credit card.
She stated that because I had a bankruptcy (Ch 13 Discharged May 2016) that I currently would not be approved because I had six new credit cards post Bk.
(* they are afraid that a lesson is not learned and that it could be a display of continuing bad behaviour.)
She further stated that they will not approve (me) unless you have less than 3 new cards in the past year.
I was very grateful to hear this information because my last two cards were approved in Jan 2017.
Which means that come Feb 2018 I can confidently apply for an un-secured card as long as I do not negatively impact my current situation.
