Apping after getting a Chase card

How long after getting a Chase card is it safe to app, I have my eyes on that reissued Rose Gold AMEX card.

Update: I was approved for the AmEx Rose Gold card on July 14, and now I'm working on minimum send for the sign up bonus.
Gardening now.

How old is your Chase card and which one do you have? If recent, how many new accounts since then?

Was it a part on an app spree?

Re: Apping after getting a Chase card

Without knowing any of your other details, I would give it AT LEAST 6 months before apping for anything else. And even then, don’t go crazy with it.

Discover It: 26.5k
Fidelity Visa: 21.5k
Amex Cash Magnet: 20k
Apple Card: 9k

At least 2 weeks, should wait 6 months between each app if you plan on more Chase cards, or if you're looking to add a us bank or barclaycard

@Remedios
The Chase card will be a month old by the time I'm thinking of applying for the AmEx Rose Gold, and it is the Chase Freedom card. It has been at least six months since any other apping or adding new cards to my portfolio.

Re: Apping after getting a Chase card

You'll be fine. My advice above is dependent on apping those banks in the future. Waiting almoat a month to get an Amex isn't gonna bring AA. Chase pulls your reports a week or two after your approval.

Re: Apping after getting a Chase card

Now whether I do or do not try for this American Express Rose Gold card I will not try for any other cards until sometime in 2020. it's just that is an expiration of just under a month for getting the Amex Rose Gold and I would like to get this limited edition card. I missed it the first time it was released and I don't want to risk it not being released again.

Re: Apping after getting a Chase card

What's the reasoning for wanting a Gold card?

I ask because if you're not actually going to use the perks it's $250/yr for vanity.  It won't help your credit at all because it's a Charge card and doesn't factor into your UTIL #'s at all because it doesn't have a CL to calculate use/limit ratio.

Also, if you apply for it just use the incognito method for the higher SUB for the MR's and then after approval you can contact them to switch the plastic over to the Rose color.

Limited edition is enough of a reason
