I had been having luck lately that I decided to ask GS for an increase on my Apple Card. I got the "you have not used and paid enough of your Apple Card credit limit since your last credit limit increase" message
. My last CLI was auto and 160 days ago. My util on that card is 18% ($808 out of $4500) because I am paying off my son's laptop and some AirPods that I bought for DH. I put between $500-$1k on the card with everyday purchases but I PIF those. I wanted an increase because my other son neds a laptop too. Such a bummer
Denial says they used TU FICO 9 which was 737. Maybe I will wait to request the increase after the laptop purchase or when I am ready to purchase. Just thought I would share the DP

Are you using $500-$1000 every month?
Is it more towards $500.00 than $1000.00?
How soon do you need to purchase laptop?

Are you using $500-$1000 every month?-Yes, every month.
Is it more towards $500.00 than $1000.00?
-If I would average it out for the entire time I have had the card probably closer to $500. But the last couple months I have put some heavy use on it.
How soon do you need to purchase laptop?
-Don't need it until the start of the new school year in the fall. He has a laptop that is good enough for the last month of school.
Funny my DW got the card just over 90 days ago and we asked for a CLI today and got the same denial, her score is 727 and the card has a balance of $300 on it. Last statement balance on it was $72, before that $0. In the last 90 days we have used it and PIF multiple times in last 3 month used well over 10k. So it doesn't really make much sense to me but just going to pay off the balance and try again. Good luck on your future. Cli

Based on what I've read here, it seems that using about 30% yields best results.
If you are willing to forego rewards on your other cards and use Apple card exclusively for a 90 days, it would probably work.

Thanks for the info... I guess it will have to wait. DH has to meet his spending on his new approvals in the next 90 days so everything will likely go on his cards. Maybe after that I can try.
Goldman Sachs probably denying most CLI with the uncertainty right now. I myself was denied about 60 days ago for the first time in 4 tries. Got the same response you did
