Considering i started out with like 850 i would have kept it. It is now at 2800 but its mostly just used for purchases i make through the app store now.
I always say you've gotta do what is best for you! With that said I am a part of an Apple Card fan page on Facebook and $4000 is extremely generous. Most people in that group don't start off with that much. So many people post getting less than $1000 or barely over $1000.
When I got approved for it I had scores in the high 700's and multiple cards with limits in the 10K to 20K range and I was given a starting limit of $2100. Now I'm at $13,850. It could be higher but I currently don't put enough spend on the card to satisfy them. So I have been stuck here since early 2023.
The great thing about the Apple Card back when I got it, if you put a good amount of spend on it, usually about $2000 a month, you could usually get approved for a limit increase every 91 days and the card could grow quickly to a higher more desirable limit. Now after your first limit increase you have to wait 6 months between increases (Goldman Sachs internal rule change). You can always reapply in 30 days should you change your mind. If the card no longer interest you though, it would be understandable if you skip it!
