Apple now saying 90 since last REQUEST

I tried for a CLI a week too early, got the "You already received a CLI"...today is day 91 so decided to text them again with the bot. This time I got a person, and they said it's 90 days since your last request instead of since your last CLI. I told her I belive the policy was 90 days since the last time you got a CLI, and she let me know it's since the last request. Anyone else run into this?

It's frustating making close to 6 figures with a $500 card limit I run a bunch of money through and pay it off 3x a week.

Thanks for that data point, @Anonymous.  However, this also might a classic case of "HUCA" (Hang Up, Call Again) and YMMV based on which CSR you get.   I'll be interested to see if they're getting that picky with whether you requested on had approved an increase.  That seems like splitting hairs as, FME, most lenders only count approvals for resetting the CLI "clock."

Re: Apple now saying 90 since last REQUEST

That last screenshot is interesting. Makes me wonder if they just drop the CLI If it's been less than 30 days since the last.

Re: Apple now saying 90 since last REQUEST

Sorry to hear about your denial! I've seen a lot of people get declined asking on day 90 and 91 but then turn around and get approved on day 93.  May be worth waiting a few more days and trying again. Best wishes to you next time you make your request!

Re: Apple now saying 90 since last REQUEST

My last CLI was on 12/15/2021. I'll ask them for CLI on or around 3/20. If they give one it is good. If not I'll sock drawer the card and put minimum use on the card and ask again on 6/30/22. I have other high limit cards and I would rather put my spend on those cards. I know Apple Card is a good stater card. Nothing to get offended about it. It is what it is what it is.

That has been my experience.  I've tried at 90 and been turned down as too soon, and then on day 94ish get approved.  Give it a few more days and try again.

For those that have never done it before, when you choose the message Goldman option you get a "Hi" or some type of message straight away but you're actually talking to a bot.  You can simply say "credit line increase" and it instantly sends you the link. When you update your income it SPs your credit and makes a decision.  It's not always smooth.  The last time it just hung and I received no reply; after many minutes I quit the app and went back into the wallet and saw I was given a $5000 increase.  Many hours later I received an email confirmation.

I've also noticed that I seem to get higher CLIs when I've recently made a large payment.

I know its frustrating but even though you make close to 6 figures,  somethings up with your profile considering your current limit is on par with your other limits.  Youll see better results as yoyr profile improves imo

Re: Apple now saying 90 since last REQUEST

I would try again in a day or two. I hit mine a day early yesterday by accident and got a denial for recently received an increase, tried again today and it went through fine.
