I applied last night for a comenity sony visa. I didn't know this card existed. I've heard of the playstation account through Cap1 but it's appperantly now through Comenity. I applied for the sony version filled in all my info and only put in the 4 of my social yet Comenity does that and still pulls I know. The message I get is "Comenity Bank is reviewing the information you provided and will contact you by mail within 10 business days regarding the status of your request." Called the sony automated system entered my 9 digit social and last 4 of phone number no match. Called the verification line and they can't tell me anything without a letter. I don't know what to think i'm assuming it's verification that's the side i'm leaning for since the agents I spoke to said she could not she a approval or denial and I will most likely have to call in with the reference number. I guess i'm waiting for 10 days though I know Comenity is super slow! What do all of you think denial since the system can't find an account?
I also currently have a Comenity MasterCard I was an ex wayfair cardholder. It's gotten a cli recently i think maybe 2 months ago.
I was prequalified for the Toyota visa issued by comenity bank..
applied was given the 7-10 letter response. An equifax inquiry and identity validation were reported.
Got the letter called the number and was given security questions to answer
approved
Also.... was prequalified for Lexus pursuit visa applied was given a 14 day letter response... still waiting on that letter
When Comenity sent me my 7-10 day letter I got the letter in 5 days and it was just for me to call and verify.
That's what I'm hoping it is did you get approved?
They asked me 3 questions which were multiple choice. The answers were all on my credit report. I was approved after answering all correctly.

Chase did the same to me when I called their number to see the status of the app it said no status yet. Finally got a letter that said to call them. They claimed I entered my SS number incorrectly but in hindsight I highly doubt it. It was probably more making sure it was me applying since this was just the second credit card I applied for in the last 10 years. Of course, I added one more right away for good measure . They pulled Experian and at the time it was at 792, so really should have been instantly approved.
Just to add to this thread, I recently applied for the Ulta credit card. It's become a bit of a white whale for me. Anyway, I was denied AGAIN!!!! This time, they said it was because they could not access my Sagestream report, which I keep frozen. If it means unfreezing Sagestream, I don't think I'll ever be able to get a Comenity card hahahahahaha.
