Everytime I call the automated number 888-247-4080, it says my application is still under review and I should hear something within 7-10 days, and when I call the verification dept 888-245-0625, they so far have always said even though I faxed over a copy of my dl, it hasn't been uploaded into the system and made available to the verifications dept and even when it does, the veification dept will not have the final answer to my approval or denial decision.  But every rep I've spoken with has been very polite, so that does count for something.

So I think I will just sit back and wait for the letter or email but will keep checking the automated system every few days.  Would be nice if Chase had the "Check Your Application Status" link on their website.

You are correct, and from there, they transfer me to the verifications dept.  I had been calling so much, it's all starting to become a big blur to me.

I called the number listed first in this thread, (888) 245-0625, and was told that my application was pending for further verification and was transferred to the verification department, which turned out not to be open today. So I've got to call back tomorrow.

Yes, I think they are only available Mon - Fri from like 8am - 5pm or some basic hours like that.  It bugs me big time

Just also noticed something else funny, when calling the number for the automated system to check status.  The message says it is still being reviewed and you will be notified in writing 7-10 days after our decision is made.  Meaning they can take weeks to decide, and after they do decide, I will notified 7-10 days after that date.

Update, I got approved for $2500! I'm so stoked. That's my biggest CL by far. Also got instant approval from Walmart MC for $400. So from 2 secured cards last year, to 2 unsecured this year, I'm happy. Will go to gardening for the house we want next year.

FYI the number she gave me for verifications is 1-877-470-9042. When I called, he asked me 4 security questions, similar to the ones they ask when you initially pull your credit report, then verified my current address, and that was it.

Major Congrats on the approval!!

I too just called that number you listed, spoke with a rep, spent about 15 minutes on the phone with her due to some verification/security questions.  After those quesitons and a few times of being placed on hold, she said "Congratualtions and Welcome to Chase, you have been approved!"

Due to my credit report, my initial starting limit is $500, but I AM OK WITH THAT!!!!  I love to watch it grow!

Now, once I get that CreditOne card in the mail that's been taking over 2 weeks to arrive, I WILL NOT ACTIVATE IT!!!!
