I still have 4 months left on my Discover IT cash back match, I have 4 hard inquiries, my FICO score is 740-750, my AAOA is 9 months and my oldest account is 12 months.
Should I apply for Citi DC now and potentially get a CLI earlier or wait and possibly get a better starting limit? One concern is that my only Visa/Mastercard has a 1% cashback and not all of the places I shop accept Discover.
Or should I do neither and get a Chase Freedom and then a Citi DC due to being at 4 inquiries?
If under the 5/24, you might want to get your Chase card or cards out of the way first. If you want the Citi DC, grab it as well. That way all or most of your accounts can age together. Yeah..your AAoA will be lower, that is temporary. As are the INQs, none of it will be permanent marks as some imagine it to be. Just make those INQs count where you can.
