What about AmEx and Citi in that regard? I was looking at their Hilton Rewards cards, as well as the Barclays Arrival Card.
Amex likes thin clean files, Citi no likey. And Barclays generally likes to see more than a year's history for their upper end cards.
So I'd have a decent chance at being approved for the AmEx Hilton card, even with the recent inquiries? Any other cards with a decent sign-on bonus that I would be likely to get approved for at this point?
Which Hilton card? The HHonors, or the HHonors Surpass? The first is the easier of the two, and has no annual fee. The second is more difficult and has an annual fee.

The one with no annual fee. Since I'll already be carrying an annual fee with the IHG card, I'd like any new cards to be without an annual fee.
Well, if the benefits offered work for you, then go for it.
Approved! $2,000 CL!
Rock on! Now, stop for a while and let these cards develop some history.
Congrats on your cc approvals!
Strange Cap1 denied you.
My 20 year old started builiding in November of last year and started off with a cap 1 card for 300.
Hasn't been a year and she has also added Chase and US Bank some months back.
YMMV
Ya, you are in the thin report profile with me. Break out the calamine and shovel ... welcome to the garden mon frere!
Recon the Cap One denial you took the hard inquiry already it can only help you.
Congrats on the approval. Wish you would have grabbed a PRG simultaneously under the same inquiry plus the 50k bonus points.
How often do you stay at hilton properties? There are quite a few hilton cards and several links that explain which ones is best depending on your spend.
Have you considered any of the non traditional travel cards like the expedia voyager, citi premier, orbitz, etc? If you check out this list of vip properties, the expedia card is actually kinda cool. The points are worth double there. Plus you earn 3 points a dollar from booking from mobile app, and can easily swing 25 off 100 via coupon when booking.

I love hilton properties. Especially hampton inn's. I dunno why, must be where I stay, but they are always the cleanest and best breakfast for the best price. I am glad you got the IHG as its annual fee includes a night voucher great for any IHG property (could come in handy whem kimpton is fully included). What IHG bonus did you get? You can try sending a secure message to chase and see if they will honor the 80k points plus $50 free after 1k spend in 90 days. They have been doing that a lot lately. Also there are a few bonus programs going on where you can earn over 50k points...varies person to person. Mine basically gave me 5k points a night free, whether I used cash or points.
Beware with the IHG if you ever book using cash and points, that you are in essence purchasing points at time of reservation...and if you cancel, the points purchased are non refundable. They should refund them to you once or twice as a courtesy though. Also dont forget about point breaks, the list is about to change soon. 5k points a night.
