If it helps, when I got my AmEx everyday April 2015, my most recently late credit card payment was June 2013. So just shy of two years. I also had low 630s across all three bureaus and oodles of collections. It also comes down to which card you're specifically going for. Some cards are harder to get than others. I believe AmEx has a prequal site as well. Give that a shot too! ![]()

The remaining baddie in my reports is a paid CO with BofA. It will remain on my account until 2020 and is reporting on Experian as hurting my score with the most recent late payment of 1 year 11 months ago but it was not paid until 12/15. I know there are a lot of factors that go into the app and approval but I'm curious if at any point the paid CO will be old enough to be Amexable? Anyone have experience with this?
You may be able to a card with AMEX but you will probably get a laughable CL to play with. I would definately bring the scores up very close if not above 700 then apply to get the best results.
