Signed into my Experian account today and received matches for over 13 CC's based on current profile (Good-675). At the top of the list was the Discover IT card however, I'd like to app the Wells Fargo Propel card (which was #6 on the list). With a 675 CS, a recent mortgage (6mo ago) and a home short sale back in 2013, I'm wondering if app'g for the WF card would be a good idea. I've got 5 (mortgage related) INQ's for past year and that's it. Read a lot of denials in the blogs here. Anyone w/ a similar credit score been approved for the Propel card?
I don't have any experiance with the Propel card but I heard they like to see that you have a bank account with them. As for the Discover card you can see if you been pre-appoved. In my opinion I think the uber card is better then the propel depending on if you care more about eating out or online purcashes because it gets 4x back on dinning(uber eats), 3x on travel and 2x on online purchases and uber.
No problem, I wasn't aware of the 3x back in gas with the propel card, that wroth the 1x less in dinning. Credit Krama has me at a poor rating for the propel card, see my details in my signature so you can compare with your situtation and experian has me as a match for the card. Not sure which is more acturate.
Ok, that's weird that CK has your scores lower than EX or TU. From what I've seen CK always inflates scores and arent a reliable source. How do you get your info in your tag? I haven't figured that one out yet
I can only speak from my own experience, but I have my mortgage and 401K with Wells Fargo, and they send me preapprovals for the Propel every month. I don't need it, as I have better returns already.
If you do business with Wells Fargo, and you qualify for the Propel, I think they will let you know.

Uber and Propel are both very conservative cards.
