So my partner has a few old baddies, and was wondering has anyone had luck applying for a Citi card with baddies? His EQ score is high 600's. I know they can be a tough one when it comes to baddies.
What kind of baddies and how long ago?

I think its 3 late 120 days? They are back in 2009. Also 1 CO which we are trying to verify. The CO is back in 2010 for a medical expense but he hasn't had any medical expenses.

Is the CO also old?
It may behoove you to wait.
I may have gotten confused but is a CO the same as a collection? I checked his report and it says its in collection with Amer. something and it says medical charge back in 2010. I was kinda thinking waiting might be needed. Thought i would ask if anyone has had luck though in hopes of a possibility

Err not exactly....
Is it a closed collection?
According to report: Opened Sept. 14, 2010
My wife applied for and received Citi Simplicty yesterday.
Her current fico's are: Ex: 690, TU: 676
She had a charge-off on a credit card that had a date of first delinquency in early 11, and was then charged off in early 2012 after going 150days. She also has a medical collection for around 100$ showing on TU (haven't checked the others).
I think her AAOA is around 5 years (oldest is 15 years), and she shows a mortgage and 8 revolving accounts on her reports. Total limit 55k, current utilization 28%. Highest credit limits 15k, 11k and 10k. She probably had under 5 inq on all 3 bureaus.
She was approved for $6400. Several offer letters in the mail, and ran through the citi pre-qual site and said she was pre-qualed for simplicity. Couldn't pass up the 21mo BT offer, and the rates were fine. I think she got around 15% after the 21mo intro period.

Citi does not like COs.
A charge off is pretty much you ignored them and they had it with you. Closed their books and wrote you off as a loser, ahem a write-off.
Then sold it off to a collection agency for pennys on the dollar.
