Approval Odds

Ok so instead of staying in the graden I did not follow directions and so I apped for the Cap One Journey Student Card. Trying to round off my credit profile and then I AM REALLY going to stay in the graden and if i get approved I can get my $300 from wells fargo. But I have a fraud alert on my credit reports and so I had to call equifax and change the phone number on the fraud alert because I no longer have that phone number. Can anyone give me some hope because they wont process my app until the confirm its me applying and I have yet to recieve phone call Smiley Sad what else could I do ?

They won't process it until it is confirm that you are the one applying for the card...

Re: Approval Odds

Try not to stress. (I know, easy for me to say.) Just do what should be done and it will work out. Members here give excellent advice.

I have fraud alert on my reports too. It has not held me back from any cli request or an approval. You will not be denied just because you have A FA on your CR's. The only thing it does is that you do not get instant approvals and online CLI's. I used to use chat for synchrony bank CLI's, but now i have to call them and all they do is send me a text message on my phone and i read the code back to them. For Cap One, they may ask you to mail in some paperwork, but after all, nothing to stress about. Only may delay your approval for a little. As for your WF secured card, i dont know how long you had it, but unless you need the money, i would not close it. Wells Fargo actually does graduate to unsecure and they refund your security deposit. I have heard people graduating as early as 9 months, and usually the accounts are reviewed around 1 year mark.
