Good stuff here so far. Making me think. I like it. Thanks and keep it coming.
Joe Bob, I am excited for you! It sounds like your mind is brewing a different kind of spree than we usually talk about on here.
I'm grateful to hear it, it gets boring watching so many people get cards to put in their signature(or even if they keep it private), like theyre racking up points on a video game. Very refreshing to see someone actually going to put their credit to practical use, and I am enjoying watching your mind figure out improvements you can make! Congrats again

Thanks!
I'm really just looking to round out my portfolio with a few products that work for me.

I want to take a moment to offer an apology and own up to being the person who did it. I was not aware of the rule. I came from another board where such things were discussed all the time, so I just didnt know. I appreciate you telling me in a nice way, unlike the crude people on that other board. I aim to do right by you and the other mods, and become somewhat of an attraction for the board, eventually. I'm still learning! ![]()

You may want to wait until after the weekend just because if you app on Friday and don't get instant approval you might have to wait until Monday to talk with verification, if needed.
I recently(2 weeks ago!) started a thread of my epic struggle that took 2 weeks, originally fueled by losing track of time and day once the batte within me was over, and I finally decided which card to go with.
In my case, I didnt even get the request for verification for over a week! But yeah, the weekend itself was a horrible start. I highly recommend against fridays, if youre aware of time and space, unlike me when I applied in a fiery state. ![]()

Congrats on your upcoming closing. Personally, I would wait until Monday to do the spree to make sure that all the i's have been dotted and the t's have been crossed.
First, I think since your goal is to PIF for your purchases, the APR shouldn't be a deal breaker.
Second, Chase FU is offering 15-month 0% int on purchases. $150 cashback on $500 spend if you don't have a BK. I only bring this up because a friend of mine just closed last Thrs and she did a spree on Monday and was denied by Chase because of a 5yo BK. So even though she could get a mortgage, it was a no-go on a CC from Chase.
It's well known that Chase will automatically deny with a BK. You will have to do a reconsideration with a BK reporting. Many have done so and were approved.
