I think you should just go for it. What is one HP LOL take it from me as I have over 100 of them between the three agencies LOL. I think you will be approved anyway. I am still approved for what I apply for but again, I am careful to only apply to banks where a HP is secondary to the rest of my profile.
Yyyeeaahh, you know too? It is true. Credit One came out with that logo two full years before Capital One did. They just get a bad rap because they take credit scores to as low as minus 100
A HUNDRED hard pulls?!! MORE THAN a hundred?! Just having *one* HP on *one* CR makes me anxious--it'll fall off in April, and I can't wait for it to be gone.
But I've deduced that we have wildly different views on applying for and maintaining credit--I don't know HOW you juggle all those cards you have!
I know, I know, you have a system for keeping track of everything, but shoot, just juggling 15 cards gives me a headache.
I use my own system of logging and keeping track, but frankly I just find it too much work remembering to use this card by this date, or that card by that date. If I could rewrite history, I'd pick and choose my cards much more carefully--and only have a handful of truly meaningful, useful cards.
As for Cap1/Credit1, I was really shocked when I found out who stole whose logo. It never would've occurred to me that Cap1 was the thief! Talk about making assumptions. I assumed that--because of Credit1's reputation as a....well, crappy bank...that they imitated Cap1 to fool people, you know, to get people to accept offers thinking they came from Cap1. I know if I ever received a mailing from them, I'd immediately assume it was mail from Cap1, since--at a glance--they look so similar. Oh well, live and learn!
Regarding the Chase card in my OP, what do you think about it as far as cards go? I really don't know anything about Chase's cards, not even which one is considered their best. Like Amex and their elusive Centurion--which I'll never qualify for in a million lifetimes! ![]()

TBH, I’m not sure that I had any faith in the fact that the oratorical meant something. I trusted more in my profile than what Experian was telling me. I like the card. I get 5% on groceries and 3% on both dining and drug stores. As I’m not too interested in category chasing this card is a better option for me than something like the CFF.

If not for the fact that I inadvertently stopped gardening last month, I wouldn't even be *thinking* about this card or any other. I was just about to hit two years with no hard pulls, no new trade lines, etc., and then I goofed up! (Amex offered a very low interest loan, which I accepted--there was no HP or anything, but the new trade line meant I was no longer gardening.)
For groceries, my Amex BCP is my go-to card, because of its 6% cash back. This Chase card, or any new card, would need to provide benefits/perks/rewards that are not currently being fulfilled by the cards I already have--although I would like to add Chase to my collection. Somehow, out of the 'big' credit card issuers, that's the only one I'm missing. It wasn't an intentional decision, it just worked out this way.

I have 108 HP's but 11 will fall off in the next week![]()
As far as Chase cards, well they are ok, nothing to me that says fantatic. My oldest card is a Chase card from way back when it is 42 years old
Then I have Providian cards that Chase took over a few decades ago, OUCH.
My favorite by just a hair would be Citi Bank, they are always offering something. It is usually something worthless but it is just a little better then the others LOL.
Well I finally found my "orange Master Card" I was missing that but now my collection is complete. My only other orange card was Home Depot but I wanted a bank card. I dare not tell how many cards I have now, the last month I went a little crazy![]()
Have you considered the Macy's AX card? it has no AF and they do offer some good deals. It is a Citi co branded card.
Some people on this site can not spell. Someone I saw spelled Capital One wrong. I would dare not repeat how he spelled it![]()
Thanks
Mark
Anyone know if Capitol Ane will approve me?

There was the letter "R" after the C in Capital![]()
Thanks
Mark
I'm sure that was intentional.
