I recently hit the luv button after 3 months of opening and forgot to unlock my TU and EX. My denial letter stated that very reason. I unlocked and hit the luv button once more. I have a couple of accounts reporting at $35k, so I shot for $35k. BOA countered with a $6k increase. So I went from $6k to $12k. It's a start. BOA sent me a letter stating reasons why they couldn't fill the $35k request. The letter said something about not enough of a banking relationship with BOA ($10k in accounts also 3 months old) and sufficient credit between BOA and affiliates or something to that effect.

Yes, it is a start and you can just begin to work your way up from there, every so many months.  Waaaaay beter than when they were strictly HP not long ago!

Well you could always be me ,,forever etched with 1 card, one limit ,10.7k, and never to see anything again. My letters always state no assets, banking relationship, sufficient credit , sufficient credit in relation to income, and too many inquiries. Its fun being Average JoeSmiley Happy

Re: Asked BOA for too much CLI??

It has to be your newer cards, I just hit the Luv button on mine yesterday and got bumped up to 31K from 15K and we have a very similar annual income.
