Auto enrolled in Chase Credit Journey when I app for CSP?

Hi all,

New to posting though I’ve been an avid reader of this forum for awhile now...

I just this week got my score levels up to something I felt was solid (for first time ever) so I had a little application spree the other day. I applied March 20 for CSP. Have been calling automated line and continue to get the two week message which I understand is maybe a good sign. My question is this: A couple of days after applying I got an email from Chase Credit Journey saying that there had been an update to my report. The thing is I dont ever remember signing up for Chase credit Journey. At all. Has anyone experienced then automatically signing you up for this simply because you applied for a card?
Im wondering if maybe they have approved me already but I just dont know about it yet? And thats why I am now a member of Chase Credit Journey? Please share if you’ve had similiar experience.

And thanks for all the fantastic advice on this forum! I went from 440ish to 810 in less three years due mostly to following all the advice on here 🤗

Congrats on the CSP, and the almost 400 point credit score increase!  WoW

I don't remember signing up for Credit Journey either. I don't think it was even an "opt in" question. It's good to have, but I don't check it often.

They're automatically enrolling people now? They asked if I would have liked to enroll in Chase Credit Journey over a year after I applied for Chase Freedom, sounds like a new thing to automatically enroll you in something like that.

Ya thats what seems weird to me. Im positive I never signed up for that.

Thanks! Although I havent actually been approved yet for the CSP - still getting two week message. Which is what was making me wonder if they had approved me and created an account for me already - but just hadnt told me - and maybe thats how I was signed up for credit journey. Was hoping maybe someone else has had that happen and could tell me that Im well on my way to being approved!
