I received the mailer in June and was instantly approved for $10k. I am in the foot print. 760s all 3 bureaus, 2y 9m AAoA, 9% Util, 12y OAOA.
Its been a good card to have in my wallet at 15% int. The mobile app is tricky, but clever.
I received another mailer today...same reservation code...still "invalid".
I got another mailer too...still haven't heard a peep about my "existing" app.
It's been a week, don't be shy about calling in and asking again.
I got yet another mailer today as well, the 4th one from them in the last 2+ months.
Just wanted to give some of you info I recieved from a customer service rep a couple days ago. She said they just switched to a new system for processing card approvals and it "worked slightly different".
I called because I got a mailer too and app'd last Wednesday night. I had an issue, but see below. I was amazed to be instantly approved for $16K. The apr is terrible @ 20.99 but I PIF so no biggie. I'll try to get that lowered later.
However, I then read the many terrible expereinces others have had with this bank (mainly with the NBA card, but not only that) and got concerned. I got a letter on Monday that said they were "unable to verify my identity".....just like many others I was extremely frustrated and figured the big SL approval was a fluke.
Thats when I called and the customer service rep checked everythign out in the system and verified everythign looked good, and assured me I'd be getting a card soon in the mail. She said it was likely due to them switching to a new card processing system.
Tuesday my card came, activated fine, and I've used it on a couple small pruchases. Online my account shows everythig is good to go. I've had to contact customer service twice on small issues (one was activating on Apple Pay) and they've been helpful so far.
Good luck!

Has anyone accepted the first offer, waited a few months, received another similar offer, applied for it an received a second card?
Unless you cancel the first card, BBVA won't allow multiple/active accounts of the same product.
I called BBVA yesterday to inquire about SL and interest rate, spoke to 3 very nice young people, none of whom turned out to be in the right department and never did find out anything?!? Lord have mercy, it seems like a simple enough little task to look up the information at their end.
Guess I'll just sit back and wait until the card arrives in the mail.
