BBVA using vantage score?

So after being approved for Merrick bank I started to check around for some pre approvals I did an app for BBVA and what they sent me with the denial was a vantage and FICO 9 so vantage is taking a foot hold

Re: BBVA using vantage score?

FICO 9 is not a vantage score.

BBVA is invitation only, are you saying you got a pre approval in mail? Your scores don't support that ?????

I see you are still applying and not taking the sound advice you got..........................................................

Even IF BBVA was using Vantage scores in their lending decisions (and I've seen no evidence that they are), one lender doing so is not even close to a "foot hold".

If I decided to start eating rocks, as one of the 327 million people in the United States, I doubt you'd see a news headline tomorrow claiming that rocks have taken a foot hold on the US food industry.

BBVA uses VS3 as part of their process. I got both a FICO 8 and VS3 for EX in the mail when I got my card 12/2018.

You can call and apply over the phone as long as you're in a BBVA market.

Re: BBVA using vantage score?

I bank with BBVA and they had a pre qualification link in the online banking that's why I was asking and no I'm no longer applying for anything that is not solid!
