They will charge you the fee after 12 months. A lot of banks and CUs waive these fees if you have a credit product with them but I have seen nothing to suggest BBVA does the same.
I haven't had any activity in my BBVA checking account since July 2018.
No fees have been charged.
@CreditCuriosity wrote:heard if not in geo location you can call and ask to apply for CLEAR points only CC although certainly can be wrong as yet to call and try out of geo footprint since have checking wiith them.
Geofencing of the ClearPoints card exists, it just isn't as restrictive as for their other cards. IIRC residents of Massachusetts, New Jersey, and California for example could apply (only) for the ClearPoints card. It's absolutely worth a phone call.
BBVA used to have a splash page that listed which states that would accept applications for each of their cards but I can't find it.

The question is -- does your market have those fees? Not all of them have the same fee schedule. Looking online, I don't see a dormant account fee for AL. I see one for AZ and NM though ($5 per month).

I haven't paid much attention to it @Anonymous .
Normally, I keep small deposits circulating. For some reason I left the BBVA out of the loop.
Reminds me, I have others that I need to setup for auto ACH transfers indefinitely.

I need to keep an eye on things too!
I opened BBVA probaly about 8 months ago now and have not heard a single peep from them. No mail invitations, nothing. I wonder with the existing pandemic, if they are actively marketing their credit products.
