BOA Prequals

Can anyone help me with this . Are the prequals for BOA solid ? Or should I just wait for a preapproval ?

Prequals are strictly marketing as you will get the same results with Fido, Spot, or Mickey Mouse.

The prequal is not solid. The special offers are pretty solid.

Do you currently have a CC account with them?

BoA will pull from Experian or Transunion depending on region.

Both of those scores are ok . 640 and 651 not great but growing . I live in PA

I'd suggest do what you can to improve your scores. I'm not sure what BoA score minimum is for approval.

If you don't have a checking, savings account, I'd recommend getting one. It may not help but it doesn't hurt either.

Ok. I have Both with about 20k in each just to build a solid relationship

Those are solid depository amounts. Hopefully, it'll look favorable for you.

In the meantime, check out the rebuilding forum to see what you can do to improve your scores. If you have high utilization, delinquency or derogatory, it'll keep your scores supressed.
