BOFA Secured Approved Or Not?

Ok so do you think I should wait until my card arrives and then request cash rewards be added or should I request it now via chat?

I have read many post (while researching about BOA's credit cards) that people called and was able to add Cash Rewards to their fully and partially secured cards. After requesting this based on what I read BOA sent out a new card (but you can still use the card you have till the new card comes with the rewards on it) so I have read many times that it can be done. I would just keep calling until it's done.

Before applying for the unsecured card I almost knew that I would be counter offered with the partially or fully secured card (I was hoping it was the partially secured one) even though I have many unsecured cards I just wanted to get in with BOA so I applied for the unsecured cash rewards and like I said I was counter offered with the Cash Rewards partially secured card (I thought I was going to have to call to get the rewards added to) but when I called to ask the status of the app I asked if the card already has the rewards and she said yes the card will come with the rewards already attached (maybe bc I applied for the cash rewards in the first place?) I don't know but when it showed up online it says Bank Americard Cash Rewards Platinum Plus Visa. And has a section of the rewards. So secured cards can definitely have the rewards added

What I did almost a year ago, went online, did a chat, they asked for the last 4 digits of the card (that information was available online account). They said that my new card will take 4 weeks to arrive and it arrived around the 23rd day.

So I'll say do it now, you will save a few days. Good luck.
