Re: Bank of America success after multiple calls for recon?

Mixup. Earlier I stated that I was denied for a capital one card. While this is true, I was denied for the reason

"there is a currently pending, or recently processed application with capital one"

I applied in mid August this year. The last time that I applied for a Cap1 card was in Late April this year which I received the same response. The time before that was in mid February this year in which I receieved a denial based on collections etc... I have since had many negatives removed/dropped off.

I was under the assumption that you can apply once every 30/45 days. Surely almost 4 months is long enough. I've tried emailing the Cap1 EO about two weeks ago and have yet to get any type of response. Is there a number to reach for recon or is my best bet, snail mail?

Re: Bank of America success after multiple calls for recon?

Spoke with the collection agency regarding 2 of the collections on my CR posted this year.

I stated to him that it's quite odd for the bill to be so low for the services performed and the reason being is because I had insurance at the time.

Told him what type of insurance it was when he asked and I asked him if he wanted the information on the insurance card.

He declined and stated that they wouldn't pay it anyway due to it being older than 6 monhs. I just knew there would be an issue.

to my surprise, he then stated that he was updating the records to show that I had insurance and that they would be deleting these record from all 3 CBs and they should be off within 30-45 days. YES!!!

Re: Bank of America success after multiple calls for recon?

Today(or technically yesterday now), I called one of the collection agencies who had two of the hospital bills on my CRs.

Told them I had insurance and he basically just said he would have them removed.

Did an update a few minutes ago and Transunion has already removed the Collections for both of the bills.

That was record timing. Couldn't have been more than 10 hours. crazy!

Seems like Im turning this thread into a journal. I may change the title and ask for a mod to move it if possible.

Re: Bank of America success after multiple calls for recon?

Trying to get a judgement removed from my Equifax report. Was told the judgement is due to fall off in October, so I figured I'd try and do an early exclusion.

Called and immediately asked for a supervisor.

After reaching the supervisor, he asked for my information, then wanted documents faxed to prove my identity. I told him that I have a report in hand and he stated that it was not a report from them(a report I got from the equifax website) I knew then that this supervisor wouldn't be helping me but I tried anyway. He told me to wait until October, they don't hold do Early Exclusions. I told him to have a good day. will be trying again with a different rep
