Barclay Aadvantage Aviator Red

I have been a customer of Barclay for 15+ years. Today I app for the American Airlines Aviator Red cc. TU FICO is 779; 19% util. No instant approval; I get info from consumer security advising I have to submit DL, SS card and power bill to verify my identity. I mailed out asap. I called back as I have the Ameriprise WEMC. They have my info so I'm not sure why I have to submit my info. I've seen some info here about this occurring. Odd. Approval or no??

They did a SP on EX same day. EX FICO 777 (9% util). 8 inqs.

EX score and util are fantastic. I think Barclay saw the 8 inqs and was concerned. Nonetheless, I think you'll be approved.

I went thru this last year (mailing verification) - they're borderline incompenent with this. In my case, they had my material for three weeks. I ended up withdrawing my application (Arrival+). Apped for the Red this year, got a verification phone call and approved. Hope they've improved their process. Good luck!

I received a call from BarclayCard Security this morning at 9A. Asked me to answer a couple of questions, and I was approved for the card.

They pulled last week when I applied. HP on TU and SP on EX.
