No im not basing it on score at alone im basing it on the whole picture utilization, score, lates, collections, inq etc even income im aware everyone is different but i dont get it at all their recents are lates from this year 6k judegement and another collection

I feel ya op. But what are the positives on their report. Sometimes the computer will approve. But remember recon is going straight to a live person. So good luck trying to convince them. Best to say you will even take a small $500 limit to prove yourself. This will go a long way. As they have nothing to lose. try and try again. someone. i won't say their name. i beleive reconed. 16 times until they caved in and gave them the card. so try and try again is the word.

Yes but the whole picture is weak at this pont. Not to dash your hope but listen to what Barclay's is telling you and see all of the points above. You'll be a stronger applicant in 6 months!

You can;t compare apples to oranges. Forget the other person's profile and focus on your own.

Let's look at what you are offering them

Low credit score

Recent lates just a few months ago

Lots of inquiries

Lots of new accounts

They don't like any of those things. Now, if you had a stronger credit score, I'd say you had some bargaining chips to recon with. As it is, I don't see anything to recon with.

+1 but don't be so hard. Always leave a little hope for them. hehehe. Smiley Very Happy I say go ahead and call and get it out of your System.

True, taxi, he may just need to get it out of his system. Hope is always good but I hope he listens to what Barclay is trying to tell him. His lates are very recent!

Re: Barclay Awkward Denial

I have already reconed after app the $500 thing is my next strategy with them. My situation is not that bad I can wait it out i mean seriously no lates this year not too many inq utilization 9-18% even a CLI within the same year for a new account

Pretty much.

Recon isn't a magic wand. All it is is discussing your denial with a human being, who may well side with the very fair decisions from the computer in this case. The computer generated decision sometimes is "too harsh" but in this case it doesn't sound like it was!
