Thought I would go ahead and try to app for Barclay's Reward card but got instant denial , called to recon and the lady was really nice and understanding but still denied due to an error on my part. Thought I paid the statement balance in time before the closing date but came to find out I paid it 15 mins past the schedule closed time (2:30 pm CST and I paid it at 2:45 pm CST) even though my online account says my statement balance was $20 and $20 is due next month.
So it showed my one card maxed out, sigh. Plus she questioned my recent inquiry for Cap One but I stated I was looking for reward cards to replace my starter cards.
Should have waited until next month to apply for Barclay. Lesson learned.
