Well, someone might, depends on your score & other things - # of inquiries, # of recent accounts, utilization.

But as far as Barclays, I wouldn't waste an app, they're not so forgiving when they are burned.

Re: Barclay card

For me, I am blacklisted by Barclays for a silly little unpaid 7 year old CO. I apped 6 months ago for the Rewards card and got the fastest decline ever. I might have even set a world indoor speed record on that. The good news is that they didnt pull credit report.

Re: Barclay card

Barclays seems to have a very long memory and they definitely hold grudges. You didn't by chance pay them back did you? Two years is pretty fresh, if you haven't paid them off I wouldn't waste my time apping for Barclays at this time.

Re: Barclay card

Could always try something from synchrony or even capital one is somewhere decent to start. Don't waste your time on Barclays if you burned them.

Re: Barclay card

had a Barclays account that was charged off almost 9 years ago. Apped yesterday and still no go; like Meanmchine, they didn't even pull my credit

Re: Barclay card

I've noticed if you burn them and you apply they usually won't pull your CR when denying.

See bolded..  Would you loan someone money again that didn't pay you back, not so silly if you look at it that way right? Smiley Happy.. So not really silly.  Just trying to put things in perspective..  Barclay's does have a very long memory one of the longest of the major lenders to OP

Re: Barclay card

Which has the longest memory? An elephant, AMEX, or Barclaycard? ;-)
