Still in the hunt for an easy approval, for a new rewards card, in order to satisy what had turned out to be an "app spree'; I looked to the Barclays credit card line up. I have held a Barclays card since 2012. I am an AARP member and the rewards card sounded great! And, it came along with a $200 SUB. Perfect, I thought! And Barclays should approve me since I am customer for the last 10 years.
I applied on the desk top PC. Not a bad application, but it did not prefill, even though I was logged into their customer banking portal. It took about 10 seconds....and the "We need more time to evaluate your application, you should hear from us in 7 to 14 days." response appeared.
So, a week goes by. The letter came in the mail, with no card...

The number of bankcards opened in the last 24 months
The consumer reporting agency that provided information that influenced our decision in whole, or in part was Trans Union. Your credit score (on 5/6/22) is: 837
I guess they got me there. I have opened 5 bankcards in the last 24 months. So, are they like Chase with a 5/24 rule? In July there would have only been 3, but since their decision I have opened 3 more! LOL! 
I guess I should recant my previous comment....sorry this one didn't go well either..
