I have maybe one or two questions for you experts. Ive lurked the site and maybe I missed if this was posted before (I apologize), so im going to ask here. I applied for a Barclays Rewards card becuse im trying to increase/strengthen my credit. About a month ago, I applied and was approved for a Wells Fargo Secured card for 1000, a First Progress Secured for 600, and 2 caitol one cards (quicksilver and platinum) both for 500. I got the 7-10 letter from Barclays, and immediatly called the recon line. The rep was so nice and mentioned to me that he saw my BK Chapter 7 from 2012, and asked me to explain it. I did and he commended me for trying to go in the right direction. He denied my application because he said they want to see me with my cards for a little while, I guess meaning they want to see if I pay on time with them. funny thing is, he only saw (or mentioned), the Wells and First Progress card, but didnt seem to see the cap cards. My questions is, how long is a good enough timeframe to wait to call back for another recon? He said the app stays on file for 120 days so I wont have to reapply which I think is good.
I really want this barclays card because I have heard nothing but great things about it, and I want to stop applying for a long time after I obtain it.
Any information would be much appreciated.
