In 2016, I had a Barclays Aviator card that was CO with a 1k. Today, I finally pulled the trigger on Barclays Red Aviator Card and the screen went to "We cannot issue a decision right now because your application requires a further review." I called UW for processing/Recon and ended up speaking to a supervisor who cited the past CO and reiterated that bank has a policy not to do business with this kind of profiles. I guess I am Blacklisted for now at least.

Barlcay's if ever burnt them will not take you back. I think I might of seen one post in my 9 years on this forum of it happening.

I got back in with Barclay's after filing BK 7. I am posting the photos that show my $949 write-off from my BK 7 in 08/2013 and showing my Barclay's account opened 02/2015, so I got back in 18 months post0filing. I really wanted that Aviator card for the bonus miles and I tried over and over and each time they did NOT run my FICO scores, but after a few months they did a HP and approved me and I got my 50K or 60K miles.
Remember when people say things like "you will never get in" or such, that is just their own experience, or what they have heard from some others. There are no hard and fast rules. Everything is profile dependent, and what is true at what date and time is not necessarily true at some other time. Everything is i flux.
If they are still not doing an HP to try when you are blacklisted, try every single month. When they finally do an HP, you will know you are off the blacklist and then they will approve or decline you based on their criteria.

True, also there is a very limited DP available on Barclays.

I read your post and that is why I thought I should give it a try. From the conversation with an UW and then their Supv, it appears one can make the case if they have a better convencing argument. When I asked for a Supv, I was under the asumption that UW will say their is no Recon and a conversation with a Supv is unnecessary. But he put me on hold nad got one. The Supv did go over things again with me without firmly denying me the opportunity to elaborate This tells me that their may have been a better chance had I prepared a convincing line of argument.
I will try again![]()

Citi pulls EX and EQ. I have one deragatory on EX that I am waiting to fall off.

Barclays actually even takes it one further. If you were ever even an authorized user on a Barclays account that went to CO, you're "banned". I had to get their Security department to put a special notice in my profile that allows applications to be reviewed. Even when I apply now, there is no HP, and I have to call in to have it manually done, as the letter that arrives will describe the previous "unsatisfactory relationship".
