Barclays US Credit Card Application question - Resident Alien

Hello,

I was looking to apply for Barclays US Credit Card and came across below wording under Legal terms & conditions:

"By pressing Apply Now I certify that:

- I am at least 18 years old and a permanent resident of the United States;"

Also, there is NO Citizenship question on the application.

I have a work visa with SSN, I am resident alien and have US address.

Question - Does Barclays allows resident aliens to apply for credit cards?

Thank you.

Most banks do.

Yes, I have cards from other major card issuers who have asked for Citizenship and residency information.

Barclays application wording indicates only US Citizens or Green card holders, under the legal terms. Feel like this isn't clear.

Re: Barclays US Credit Card Application question - Resident Alien

Thank you.

Experian Blog calls Barclays and Discover as exceptions  as they won't take ITINs from applicants instead of an SSN.

However, Discover has this "You certify that you are at least 18 years of age or older and a U.S. resident."

I'm not sure I understand the question.

You said you had an SSN, in which case you're good to go.
