Before app'ing, does Barclay like to see

....a history with other CC issuers ? 

I have had CareCredit  ($9, 600.00), for about 2 statements ,  QS1  ($2,000.00), 1 statement ,  no baddies ,  but a long history .  Several old, closed cards and TU sets at 761. 

Just a "young" new activity " with cards . 

What do they like to see in opening new accounts and SL's ?

Barclays gets jealous so a long history with not a bunch of accounts open still would look great in my opinion. You might start off with a discouraging limit but with that profile and a Kick-Butt TU score like that, should come up quickly. If you got a Barclays card now and do not add any more accounts for 6 months to year I think the sky's the limit

With me they didn't like that I had a lot of new credit. I called to recon and the rep told me that was the only reason for the denial. I have middle 600 scores with judgements & old charge offs still reporting but all they denied me for was too much new credit.

If you don't mind, how many new lines of credit did you have at the time you app'd with Barclay and how "new " were they ?

I've open 2 in the past 3 months, only ones I have except and old, very old one from back in the late 90's .

Do you think they look at the inquirys as well ? I have 3 new on TU and 1 23 month old one there .

No use using a inquiry if they don't like "new credit" !

Friendly warning I got the NFL card at the beginning of may 2015 apps spree. I only had a few new accounts but I tacked on a lot more. They got me much much later. so to keep the analogy going it is a jealous girlfriend that's checking your status quite often.
