I got a BBY store card back around 2013 with a paltry $600 limit and have never gotten/requested a CLI.
I need to purchasae about $3k of stuff for work from BBY and would like to put it on my card to get the bonus rewards (I'm at their highest rewards tier). Don't really want a HP. Has anyone ever called in and gotten a CLI with a SP? Card currently has a $0 balance and I PIF all other cards.

My guess is it would most likely be a hard pull.
You can always try calling Citi to see if they will allow the 3k purchase on your store card without getting any fees.
Your odds of winning the lottery jackpot are probably better than getting a Bestbuy card SP CLI.
Why not just take the HP? I think the rewards on your purchase is worth it. Plus, unless you’re about to close on a mortgage in the next 24 months, 1 HP pretty much means nothing!

I requested a CLI from BBY in February and it was a HP from TU, I’m in CA. I do not believe there is a way around it. I was sitting at 4K and asked for 8k, they countered and gave me 5k to bring me to 9k CL. I suggest calling like the previous posts mentioned or taking the HP if you’re profile suggests an approval.
