Best card for travel

Hey everyone. Just like that it turns out I will be moving! I am looking for a travel card that I can use and get a nice sign up bonus if I use it to book my travels (I will be traveling back and forth as my family still lives in my home state) and hopefully rack up some points.

My worry is that my most recent card is not even that old (Amazon store card). It can't be more than 2 months old, and I do feel the odds are stacked against my profile right now with all my student loans (unless that doesn't affect it? I read that any loan balances that are not being paid month after month, and show a high proportion balance can negatively effect your score. Not entirely sure if that is the case).

I am open to any recommendations, but I am not looking for just one specific airline card. I like to book the CHEAPEST flight regardless of the airline (unless it is Spirit Airlines, then NO THANK YOU!).

Re: Best card for travel

As far as traveling goes - since you don't have a specific airline card - one of the best cards to get is Chase CSP. But if you're profile does not support that then I would say one of the Amex Charge Cards (Gold) would be a good move or the WF Propel. Either of those cards would be good options but as before, it all depends on your credit profile.
