So this is one of THOSE questions....
I "need" to buy an engagement ring tomorrow. However I don't currently have a single card with enough available credit as I just furnished a new house and won't get my raise /bonus until Late October some time. Poor planning on my part. I can swing the purchase by splitting over a couple cards but would rather not do so.
I'm tapped out at the moment with Navy (they've got my furniture charges), so my options are USAA, Barclays, possibly Chase, RBFCU, or just put it on my Amex PRG (but the interest rate sucks for pay over time).
I'm leaning towards asking USAA, but was hoping for some considered opinions.
Thanks in advance!
PS - No one is pregnant or dying, but there is a birthday, a visit to a favorite place, and fall foliage coming up next week so the timing is just about perfect. Oh, and I want to spend the rest of my life with this woman and would rather she know that sooner rather than later.
Look for a 0% 21 month introductory offer...there was one sent to me recently from bank of America I believe.

Got the same offer here too. 18 months w/o a mailer... Not a whole lot of perks to it but, it would get the job done.

UPDATE:
So USAA is the big winner today. (Barclay's said they'd send a letter - one year anniversary last week on Arrival+)
I have three cards with them, but only one available for a cli request.
Called in, gave the stats, and instant approval of $9k credit limit increase. Will post the deets in Approvals later.
