Blispay rejection 721 EXP no baddies 1 open credit card and student loans

Well was on a roll leading up to christmas eve and ran across all the hoopla about Blispay. Dummy here fell for it and app'd, now I have 5 inq's on EXP

HP was on EXP which their creditworks alert notified me 30 seconds after the denial.

My EXP is 721, 4 (now 5) Inq's. 1 open credit card 1k limit USAA.

oddities about the Blispay process include how they contact you.

First you go to blispay.com and create a username and password and add in your cell number

they send you a verification code that you enter on the website.

Then you put in info name, dob, ssn, etc. and income.

they may ask verification questions and mine a least were a little different than from other sites.

Like the fact I paid cash for a car in 2015 and they asked the year of that car. Other places keep asking who I got a car loan from in 2015 and i did not take out a loan then.

they asked what year-range a student loan ending in X9XX was taken out. I had to go look at my printed annual credit report to find that number.

then they asked for income, 30k (VA pension)

then rejected me.

The oddest part I feel, is that instead of emailing the reason (after all the texting a verification code and agreeing to electronic communication) they snail mail the reject reason. Apparently that is to slow down complaints and attempts to get a reconsideration.

anyway just be aware that there are some borders and limits to who blispay will approve and apparently I am it. so much for a last minute christmas present for me.

Don't beat yourself up over a denial!!! We all have had them at some point!! Learn and see what you can do different to produce a better more favorable outcome!!! With a 721 EXP I would have opted for discover! Or better yet you can try Navy Federal if you haven't already!! You been doing good with low inquiries and only 1 open credit card and its no reason to be down!! This time next year you will be laughing at Blisplay and saying what was I thinking anyway applying with them when I have so much available credit now!! Never give up! Never get down!!! Some creditor will gladly reward your hard work and dedicaton to obtaining and maintaining a good credit score!! Best wishes to you in the New Year!!

I got rejected for PayPal credit a while ago.  Good thing Blispay approved me because PayPal credit has really low starting lines of credit.  The whole process is trivial.  I lost one point on my TransUnion credit report yesterday and I absolutely don't know why.  The 6 months promos are the only reason I keep Blispay.

thanks for the kind words, my posting here is just a counterpoint to the long threads proclaiming instant Bliss for  7K & 12K SL's with 650 EXP scores.

As for Discover on my TU is a  collection that does not belong to me and that I have turned over to a lawyer.

Discover turned me down because of that item.

NFCU does not allow veterans direct membership and the Navy League took my money for membership in October and has yet to send me a reciept, a member id to the forums, or acknowledgment of my being in the San Diego Council. In fact they will not return an email or phone mail from me.

NFCU needs that verification and until I shake it out of the Navy League I am cut off from that venue. In fact I cannot even apply to PenFed until the Navy League sends me a working valid membeship id so even that option is out even though membership in PenFed is automatic for all Navy League Members.

That's sucks, sorry. We have all been there tho. It happens-won't be the last either. Doesn't mean you have bad credit or even that you have warnings. Every creditor has their own reasons and Bilspay is known for being conservative. I know it can be disappointing. I just was denied for a Barclays with a 756 FICO and 100k and perfect history with them on my first card. Can't take it personally. Cheer up. If they don't want you-you don't want them! Merry Christmas... or Happy Holidays... or Happy Hanukkah or/and whatever else you may celebrate.

Another odd verification quesiton they asked was for the last 4 digits of my primary checking account. I have three, so A) how did they get my numbers to begin with and B) how did they decide which is primary?

For A) I think they pulled CheckSystems or something like Lexis Nexis, but will not know further until the snail mail shows up.

For B) it is even more curious. One account gets my VA pension, one gets my student loan and grant money, and the third is tied to my retirement and current (tiny) taxable income. The retirement account is the oldest but the number they showed was the one that gets my VA pension. All are good and never had  bounced check or anything, but still odd.

Before anyone might think 3 checking accounts are strange, it is never a good idea to have all your accounts with one bank or credit card company. If one account gets frozen, hacked, or damaged, having the other available at another institution can save your bacon. Each CK account also has a savings or money market account attached, and I do not want anyone wiping out my little nest egg at my age!

Sorry for the denial, but your scores will open other doors for sure. I don't know anything about Blispay, but sometimes things work out for a reason - and I find usually in your favor. In this credit business, denials will happen. It's just part of this business. But the good new is... there are so many fishes in the sea...

Regarding the Navy League - you said they took your money... but didn't send the email. Assuming you paid by CC, why not dispute the charge with your CC company and have it reversed, then once the funds are returned, apply for membership again? Perhaps there was glitch in their system.

I know when I applied for NLUS SD, the website was acting funny and I got duplicate Welcome emails and receipts, but was only charged once. So maybe the opposite happened to you.

Regarding getting no response back from them, I have no suggestions other than perhaps trying to contact them way after the holidays as charities can have very low staffing during the holidays.

NFCU is well worth the effort and given your scores, I think you have a very good chance of credit approval with them.

Also, lots of peeps have been denied by Blispay...me including three times. I wont apply again. They can never seem to "verify" me...whatever, lol.
