BoA Amtrak no annual fee card

I am debating whether to get the BoA amtrak no annual fee card or not. Right now it's offering $100 + 20k amtrak points. Is that highest offer?. I do love train travels from time to time. While the one has annual fee has better benefit like free companion, but I can't justify that annual fee and I am also waiting when the high bonus return for that card. '

What do you all think?

Re: BoA Amtrak no annual fee card

From what I remember on similar discussions is that you'd have to ride the rails pretty frequently to rack up enough points, because they don't really go that far in redemption value versus going for general rewards card with a larger SUB. Especially if you don't travel often enough.

I've looked into both Cruise Ship and Train travel cards and came away unenthused. Although other people seem to like them and see value.

I just think a regular CB/point card could earn you more value for infrequent travel.

I think this card is good for someone like me who wants a card to earn points so they don't expire but at the same time don't want to pay an annual fee.  I used to take Amtrak a lot to visit my other offices but not so much anymore.
