LOL... that's a good way to look at it!
On a serious note, at my previous employer, our order numbers were 11 digits long, but each 'set' of digits within the string meant something. In other words, depending on the make up of the reference number, there might be a seemingly huge numerical difference between two numbers generated just hours (or minutes) apart.
I believe your point still stands, though... we are very, very small to them!
