So I received a message from Bread/Comenity Bank to apply for the AAA Visa. I've had the Dell Pay Account with them for over 10 years now, so I wasn't too surprised by this. So I followed the link, and the website ONLY asked from me: the last 4 of my social, my phone number and email address. I put in/verified the information, and then I get this message: "We're reviewing the information you gave us. We'll mail you about the status of your request within 10-14 business days."
I didn't even fill out an actual application, however, experian alerted me that my equifax credit report was pulled. I was recently discharged from Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, so I was surprised to see the pre-approval link from them. But I didn't burn/close my dell account because it was a $0 balance when I filed. I've been very...cautious when applying for things, and only doing pre-approval checks with banks. I honestly thought this was going to be more of a pre-approval link of like the ikea card, where they tell you what you might qualify for, before applying. Especially since, again, I didn't fill out a full application. Has anyone else experienced this before? And does the 10-14 day message mean denial? (I'm not holding my breath for an approval because of the Chapter 7 Discharge on my credit report...but I am annoyed).
Either denial or verification.. Gotta wait for the letter to see.

Gotcha. Is it normal for them to accept an "application" with just the last 4 of your social, email address and phone number? That's the part that's weird to me...
Same thing just happened to my fiancé. She entered the info and immediately got the hard pull. Called in and was told the application was in process and would get a letter. She asked if it was a denial and they couldn't say anything. The rep did say she may have to send her DL, SS card and proof of residency. I advised that if it's a denial they're certainly asking for a lot to tell her no.

absoluetly they can and sync/bread are famous for it
always expect a HP unless they have the words "THIS WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR CREDIT SCORE." Its required by law to be posted on prequal sites / offers.
