Anyone know if CAP 1 is inquiry sensitive? Been with cap 1 for 2 yrs..QS @ 4500..never late. ..myFICO..TU 685...EX 709..EQ..640....LOTS OF INQ....Clean file

They don't typically seem to be, but I was recently denied my Venture app and the only reason listed was too many recent inquiries. I'd had zero inquiries in the past year. Been with Capital One for 2 years myself with no issues

too many inq and you had 0? How does that even make sense...I suppose you did not call them for explanation?

I did have inq in the past couple of years, but not any in the last 12 months. They were up first for a few cards I applied for. That was the only reason stated in the decline letter I received.

I have been repeatedly denied CLIs on my Venture and Venture One over the past six months. Sole reason given every time is too many inquiries.

Depends on the rest of the file.  Inquiries hurt thin files while thick files not nearly as much.
